Room Situation: A Long Space Turned Into the Right One
The original room was not theater-ready. It was long and narrow with proportions that would have created uneven sound distribution and a poor viewing experience. Rather than work around it, we suggested partitioning the room using V-Board to bring it down to a workable size.

A cream-coloured acoustic carpet was laid on the floor, and a step riser was installed to create a slight elevation at the rear seating area. This improves sightlines and also changes how sound reflects within the room. The treatment was designed to control reflections without making the space feel dead or overly dry.
Design and Lighting
Aravind provided a basic sketch of what he had in mind. We took that and converted it into a detailed 3D render so the family could visualise the space before any work began.
On lighting, Aravind was specific. He did not want bright, colourful lights that are common in many home setups. Instead, profile lights were placed along the walls and ceiling to create indirect, ambient illumination. The result is a room that feels dim and atmospheric, the kind of lighting that puts you in a film-watching mindset without straining your eyes.
What the Family Said
